Blessed Eid Wishes from ECN, US and Canada Boards

The Eid is already at our doorsteps, yet because of the special circumstances of the COVID-19 world pandemic, this year’s celebration will certainly be an unforgettable one amid the multiple safety and precautionary measures we have to abide with. Nevertheless, we wish you the best on this occasion, may this time be blessed and filled with peace, serenity, and the hope of a brighter future ahead.

On this occasion, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all ECN friends, supporters, administrators and board members in the US and Canada. Your efforts and valuable support during this time of crisis, have a special meaning and a unique flavor.

Indeed, you have been many to demonstrate your generosity, solidarity, and determination to continue your wonderful work in support of Egypt’s cancer patients. This was evident during the Zoom virtual fundraising event which took place on Saturday, May 16th, where you rushed to contribute to Hospital 57357’s latest endeavor of replacing and upgrading its old fleet of hospital beds.

But also throughout last year, whether in U.S. or Canada, you have been attentive to 57357’s needs, contributing to:

-Supplying them with the latest equipment and technologies such as the automatic dispensing machine for the pharmacy

-Sustaining their efforts  in the provision of education and training programs such as the joint  57357 57357/ Dana Farber Boston Children’s pediatric oncology fellowship, the joint 57357/ University of Colorado, Skaggs School of Pharmacy Pharm D program, and the JCI quality management and patient safety

-Encouraging their research efforts by providing them with needed resources such as funding the ESR spectrometer Mini Scope MS 5000 for 57357’s metabolism research unit and the instrument which allows the understanding of how tumors and cancer cells obtain their energy

We are confident that together we can share in holding up the vision of a cancer-free childhood for Egypt’s children and the mission to achieve a better outcome for all its cancer patients Have a Blessed and Joyful Eid!
